Usui Reiki Level 1 Classes for Children in March
Children are telling us it's time to teach them. In their own way they are telling us they would like to be connected to their true spiritual nature in a way they can integrate into every aspect of their lives. Reiki is the perfect tool to achieve this. I would like to offer Reiki to all children who ask for it. Reiki is very healthy for children to learn. In my class, Reiki for children will be presented in a loving, supportive and fun atmosphere with respect for the individuality of each child. Children understand what Reiki is much better than most adults since they are still clear and open channels of intuitive understanding. When children are attuned they have full knowing of what is coming through their hands. They understand that it comes from Spirit- The Universal Life Force and they are easily able to stay out of their own way without the distraction of the ego. My personal belief is that children are able to lead us into the age of pure consciousness. It is our responsibility to make sure they are able to use what they already possess and encourage their spiritual path. Through Reiki I would like to give them an opportunity in this life time where their spiritual nature is honored and put to valuable use so that they may someday easily grow into enlightened teachers.

The Light Explorers Class #4 Smudging, Make a Powerful Smudge Feather Wand
WHAT IS SMUDGING?
Smudging is the process of burning sage bundles and other herbs for cleansing your home, a person, your personal energy field (or that of another being) or objects such as crystals, stones or sacred tools. Smudging is a spiritual and sacred act. It comes to us from Native American traditions, but many peoples and many cultures have echoed the principle. It can be performed by people of many religious affiliations as a means of cleansing negativity from a space, possessions, yourself or others with smoke. A feather smudge wand is a great tool used to fan, or direct, the smoke from the burning herb over the area or person that needs cleansing. Also note that you do not have to burn anything to “sweep” the energy field of a person. You can use Reiki, visualization and intention to cleanse as well.
Today we will make our own powerful feather smudge wand!
WHY SMUDGE?
Smudging clears negative energy and purifies the physical and finer environments. Everything and everyone has an energetic auric field around them. These fields can become contaminated with negative vibrations and thought forms. These negative energies if not removed, can cause disharmony, imbalance, depression and illness. Sometimes these negative energies are left in our environment from contact with others who are creating or harboring them. Sometimes they can drain a persons energy and vitality. Smudging can eliminate these imbalances and restore harmony.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SMUDGE:
1. Sacred herbs, incense, the will and desire to help others.
2. Shell or receptacle you can use to burn the herbs. A shell is the Native American traditional
choice. A fire resistant open dish-like container is necessary as it prevents stray smoldering
embers from burning furniture, carpeting or clothing.
3. A feather is used to sweep the smoke or unwanted energy through the space
needing cleansing
SMUDGING A PERSON:
Begin by smudging the auric space – about 2 to 3 feet out from the body. Begin sweeping the person with your smudge feather fan. Move around the person in a clockwise manner. Visualize white light cleansing the unwanted energy away from the body towards the Earth. Work from above the head to the feet. When you get to the feet, have the person lift up their feet, one at a time, as you sweep the smoke under each one. Go back above the head and go down the front, back and each side of the body, cleaning the energies that lie close to their form. If any area feels “sticky” continue smudging until it feels clean to you. Use your intuitive senses as you work.
SMUDGING A PLACE
In an enclosed space, open a door or window to provide a route for negative energies to leave as they move to get away from the smudge. Begin in the room that is the most distant from the open door or window. Start at the center of the room. Move through the room clockwise. Fan the smoke from the
smudge over, under and around objects. If any area feels “sticky” continue smudging until it feels clean to you. Use your intuitive senses as you work. Tell everything that you do not want in your space to “Leave now and go to the Light”. Move to the next room and the next, repeating this procedure. If you have left a door open for negativity to exit, smudge the doorway, step through and smudge the immediate area outside. Many people hang sweet grass braids over doorways to allow only good energy to enter their space.
SMUDGING OBJECTS:
For small items, such as tumbled stones or jewelry – put them in a bowl or container. Sweep the objects with your smudge feather fan. Visualize white light cleansing the objects from unwanted energy towards the Earth. If you are using sage or incense, hold the container above the smudge and allow the smoke to rise and enter the container, bathing the small items in smoke.
For larger objects: Move around the object in a clockwise direction. Begin at the top and sweep-smudge through the close energetic field and off towards the Earth
HERBS QUALITIES:
California White Sage: Clears negative and foreign energies and entities out of our
environment, our personal space and our belongings
Lavender: Brings protection, peacefulness and rest
WARNINGS:Smoke from herbs can lead to allergic reactions or trigger asthma or other forms of
respiratory distress. Do not begin using smudge if you are pregnant. The information on this
flyer is offered for its cultural and historical value. If you choose to burn herbs, do so only in a well-ventilated area, use common sense and moderation.
Discontinue use and contact your health professional if any irritation develops

The Light Explorers Class #3 Crystals and Stones
The Light Explorers Class # 3
Crystals and Stones
Do you like Crystals and stones?
Does something about them seem to draw your attention? Did you know that crystals and stones have their own energy and vibration that can be felt by humans if your aware and open to it?
Sensitive, empathic and psychic people can actually feel the energy that a crystal or stone can produce. This is a very unique and special ability. Once you learn how to feel a crystals energy, you can use the energy it provides to heal, calm and energize yourself. Crystals can be used for protection because they work hard for you and provide a real barrier (energetic field) that you can use to strengthen your aura or your home from unwanted energies. You can also use them to absorb energy that makes you uncomfortable from a room or other people. Crystals and stones are part of creation, a natural resource, a gift from the universeJ
======================================================
Here is a list of good crystals and stones we will start working with:
Rose Quartz- ( the love stone) Incredibly loving energy, soothes, softens, comforts. Encourages self love and acceptance.
Sodalite- Brow Chakra (psychic intuition) reduce stress, alter your metabolism, helps with insomnia, silences internal chatter -great meditation stone! Helps to clear self doubt on a mental level. Ordering thoughts and concentration- great for homework and studyJ
Carnelian Agate- Sacral Chakra reduces pain, gives emotional strength to the source on all levels. Courage, strength and self belief.
Hematite- Base Chakra, (grounding) circulation. Iron absorbing, great for menstrual cycle. Improves oxygen supply.
Amethyst- (meditation) Acts like a sponge for negative energy, making the room, person or house feel calmer and less negative. Great for healingJ Alleviates headaches caused by built up energy (anxiety, nerves)
Citrine- Solar Plexus Chakra, (the CLEANER stone) Detoxifying physically and emotional and mental toxins from the body. Supports liver and kidneys and supports all forms of physical elimination. Great for stomach and digestion issues (tummy aches)J Good for cuts and wounds. Clears old energy, but does not (absorb) like amethyst does.
Quartz Crystal- (Opens and activates Crown Chakra, Master Healer) Pure clean vibration! Clarity in thinking, stimulated rational and logical mindJ .Vision, psychic development, ANGELS. Great for meditation!
Green Quarts- Heart Chakra, Great for soothing, calming, comforting the heart. Helps heal physical heart problems, Helps you feel loved and protected. Gradually and gently build emotional confidence. Helps heart to repair itself (abuse). Great for men and womenJ
Yellow Calcite- Amplifier! Doubles the energy of anything associated with it. Boosts vital and spiritual energy.
On a side note: Marble is the most common form of calcite. Temples, churches and alters in the ancient world were constructed of this material as it was thought to double the spiritual energy of the building.
Cleansing and caring for your stones-
Everything and everyone should take a bath. This includes your stones! It’s a good idea to cleanse your stones about once a month, or whenever you feel they have absorbed a lot of energy. I like to cleanse my stones on the full moon. The full moon is strong and powerful and has no problem cleansing and restoring your stones back to their original strength. I simply take about a half cup of salt and pour it into a small plate or bowl.
Then place your stones on top of them and place them outside under the moon, or on a window seal where the moon can shine on it. Leave it there overnight. The next day your stones will be energetically good as newJ Take the left over salt and pour it in your yard or flowerbed. Thank God, the universe, mother nature (whatever your comfortable with) for cleansing your stones. You can also cleanse your stones without the moon anytime with the same technique, except place it on a table or dresser where it will be safe from little brothers, or sisters, or petsJ
Once you become acquainted with your stones they will actually “remind” you that you should use them to assist you when they are needed. You may all of a sudden think to yourself “I should use my Crystal for this”. Lets say you have a bad dream, you can use your Quartz Crystal to protect yourself clean your energy and call your angels. In the spirit world Quartz crystals look like a “giant white flashlight” or a light saber when they are used.
In closing, sometimes stones “find you” if you should ever find a stone on the floor, in the garden or in a shop that catches your eye you may want to bring it with you to. There may be a purpose for it in the future.
What if I lose a crystal or it drops and breaks?
Don’t worry! If your stone breaks or gets lost somehow, it is not an accident. It means the stone has met its purpose. It may have moved on to assist another person who will find it, or it simply has no more energy to give and needs to return to the earth. If your stone breaks, thank God, The universe, Mother nature and place it in the flower bed under the soil. You can replace your stones, give them away, even sell them if you want to: but always love and respect themJ
Love Light and Blessing!

The Light Explorers Class #2 - Chakras and Auras
Chakras and Auras
What is an aura?
An aura is an electromagnetic energy field that surrounds each living thing. Seeing auras isn’t as difficult as you think. If you’re focused on your spiritual side, it’ll probably be easier. Auras are not only beautiful, but helpful in understanding what someone is thinking and feeling. You must be willing to meditate in order to see auras.
Do you want to see your own aura?
Instructions:
1. Develop a regular meditation practice. You need to do at least 10 minutes a day in order to develop the skill to see auras. Visualize something in your mind or chant a mantra such as "Omm" when you meditate. This will allow you to focus and drive out the chattering thoughts.
2. Focus daily on your intention to see auras. Believe that you will see them and you eventually will.
3. Decide where you will look for auras when you feel ready. Auras can be seen around plants, trees and animals, but the auras of people are the most colorful.
4. Know that it’s difficult to observe someone’s aura if they know you're doing it. Good people to observe are a priest or parishioner, a lecturer in a class and people at the shopping mall or park. This is because you can sit quietly and observe them without them thinking you're strange. Also, they won't be aware you're observing their aura.
5. Look slightly to the side of your subject while observing their aura. Auras can only be seen with your peripheral vision. Pull your center of awareness back through your eyes toward the center of your head. This is where your pineal gland is located. Many ancient traditions believe the pineal gland is where the "seat of consciousness" is located and that it governs psychic awareness.
6. Notice that you see a white or grey auric field a couple inches around your subject. This may be all you see at first, but with practice you'll see swirling colors of yellow, blue and pink around their head. Learn to read an aura by learning what the colors represent. Observing and practicing, especially on the same person, will help you understand the colors and their meaning.
J
I can see the aura!
Now what do the colors mean? The aura is an electromagnetic field surrounding the bodies of humans, plants and animals. This energy field is made up from the combined energies of the physical, emotional and mental planes. The colors you see in the aura are generated by the chakra system, which are the invisible energy centers in the body. You may or may not see colors right away, this comes with more practice.
Red The color red corresponds to the base or root chakra and refers to physical sexuality. Feelings of love, and strong emotions including anger and passion. Colors in the aura can take on different hues of color such as violet, pink or magenta. There are generally two main colors seen in the aura, these are the thoughts and feelings of the person. If you see red or shades of red in a person's aura they are thinking romantic or sexual thoughts or may be experiencing intense emotions such as anger or resentment
.Orange The color orange corresponds to the sacral chakra and refers to confidence, courage, inspiration, manipulation, power and control. Someone with orange in their aura may want to dominate or control a situation. Ability or desire to control people.
Yellow The color yellow corresponds to the solar plexus and refers to inner joy, generosity, freedom and contentment.
Green The color green corresponds to the heart chakra and deals with healing, peacefulness and concern for the well-being of others. The color green in the aura identifies someone who takes pleasure in the simple ways of life and matters of the heart.
Blue The color blue corresponds to the throat chakra and encourages the person to speak up for themselves and voice their opinion. Blue is a relaxing color and often means that the person is calm and in a relaxed state of being.
Indigo The color indigo corresponds to the third-eye chakra (pineal gland). The color indigo in the aura refers to a higher state of consciousness or enlightenment. The third eye is located between the eyebrows towards the middle of the forehead and is used to discern things on a spiritual level.
Purple The color purple corresponds to the crown chakra. The crown chakra deals with thoughts and feelings of a spiritual nature and divine will.
White The color white is recognized as the color of a highly evolved spiritual being. Someone with a white glow may have lived through many incarnations and evolved into a highly spiritual person.
