The Light Explorers Class #2 - Chakras and Auras

Chakras and Auras
What is an aura?
An aura is an electromagnetic energy field that surrounds each living thing. Seeing auras isn’t as difficult as you think. If you’re focused on your spiritual side, it’ll probably be easier. Auras are not only beautiful, but helpful in understanding what someone is thinking and feeling. You must be willing to meditate in order to see auras.
Do you want to see your own aura?
Instructions:

1. Develop a regular meditation practice. You need to do at least 10 minutes a day in order to develop the skill to see auras. Visualize something in your mind or chant a mantra such as "Omm" when you meditate. This will allow you to focus and drive out the chattering thoughts.

2. Focus daily on your intention to see auras. Believe that you will see them and you eventually will.

3. Decide where you will look for auras when you feel ready. Auras can be seen around plants, trees and animals, but the auras of people are the most colorful.

4. Know that it’s difficult to observe someone’s aura if they know you're doing it. Good people to observe are a priest or parishioner, a lecturer in a class and people at the shopping mall or park. This is because you can sit quietly and observe them without them thinking you're strange. Also, they won't be aware you're observing their aura.

5. Look slightly to the side of your subject while observing their aura. Auras can only be seen with your peripheral vision. Pull your center of awareness back through your eyes toward the center of your head. This is where your pineal gland is located. Many ancient traditions believe the pineal gland is where the "seat of consciousness" is located and that it governs psychic awareness.

6. Notice that you see a white or grey auric field a couple inches around your subject. This may be all you see at first, but with practice you'll see swirling colors of yellow, blue and pink around their head. Learn to read an aura by learning what the colors represent. Observing and practicing, especially on the same person, will help you understand the colors and their meaning.

I can see the aura!

Now what do the colors mean? The aura is an electromagnetic field surrounding the bodies of humans, plants and animals. This energy field is made up from the combined energies of the physical, emotional and mental planes. The colors you see in the aura are generated by the chakra system, which are the invisible energy centers in the body. You may or may not see colors right away, this comes with more practice.

Red The color red corresponds to the base or root chakra and refers to physical sexuality. Feelings of love, and strong emotions including anger and passion. Colors in the aura can take on different hues of color such as violet, pink or magenta. There are generally two main colors seen in the aura, these are the thoughts and feelings of the person. If you see red or shades of red in a person's aura they are thinking romantic or sexual thoughts or may be experiencing intense emotions such as anger or resentment

.Orange The color orange corresponds to the sacral chakra and refers to confidence, courage, inspiration, manipulation, power and control. Someone with orange in their aura may want to dominate or control a situation. Ability or desire to control people.

Yellow The color yellow corresponds to the solar plexus and refers to inner joy, generosity, freedom and contentment.

Green The color green corresponds to the heart chakra and deals with healing, peacefulness and concern for the well-being of others. The color green in the aura identifies someone who takes pleasure in the simple ways of life and matters of the heart.

Blue The color blue corresponds to the throat chakra and encourages the person to speak up for themselves and voice their opinion. Blue is a relaxing color and often means that the person is calm and in a relaxed state of being.

Indigo The color indigo corresponds to the third-eye chakra (pineal gland). The color indigo in the aura refers to a higher state of consciousness or enlightenment. The third eye is located between the eyebrows towards the middle of the forehead and is used to discern things on a spiritual level.

Purple The color purple corresponds to the crown chakra. The crown chakra deals with thoughts and feelings of a spiritual nature and divine will.

White The color white is recognized as the color of a highly evolved spiritual being. Someone with a white glow may have lived through many incarnations and evolved into a highly spiritual person.
