Meditation

MEDITATION

Why Learn to Meditate?

The purpose of Meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worry and mental discomfort; and so will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions. By training in meditation, we create an inner peace and clarity that enables us to control our mind.

Our busy minds need a break, a time to clear and cleanse just like any mechanical object we use daily. Would you use your vacuum daily and never clean it out? Would you drive your car everyday and never wash it, never put gas in it or never maintenance it?  What would happen if we did? Eventually the vacuum would get clogged and the car would stop working. The same holds true for the mind. Although complex and a miracle in itself with much left to be understood, our busy minds need a break. Meditation is a great way to unclog, energize and prepare ourselves to be our best for ourselves and those we love.
